Our May Grant Recipient – Chloe

Congratulations to our May Grant recipient Chloe! Chloe is 10 years old, she is Autistic, with Global Developmental Delay, ADHD and Epilepsy.

Chloe has been participating in a wonderful after school program to build Social and Community Participation with our wonderful friends Project Epic. And she’s thriving!

Chloe has specific funding in her NDIS plan to support the development of social skills and community participation. Chloe’s NDIS plan funding is due to run out 3 weeks before her new plan is approved and available. So when her mum Kirsty reached out to us The Frankie Foundation was thrilled to help bridge the gap in Chloe’s funding.

Social and community participation is all about doing what the participant wants as part of their everyday lives. People with disabilities need and should have the opportunities for social and community inclusion, like anyone else. These skills take longer to learn and grasp when you have neurodivergent characteristics, and that’s why NDIS funding to support these life skills is so important. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿงก
